New York, NY – The 110th NYRR Millrose Games took place on February 11, 2017, at the 168th Street Armory’s New Balance Track & Field Center. This year as in the past since 1914 the Millrose Games has been one of New York’s premier sporting events that attract spectators and participants from around the world. Spectators from all over filled the Armory for this year’s event, and as usual, they were not disappointed. This year’s Millrose Games was amazing, having outstanding performances in every event. The Millrose Games gave a preview of whats to come later on in the track season; judging by the performances here I can only imagine how many new records will be broken and set this 2017 Track & Field season.
At this years games two American records were set one by Armory favorite Ajee’ Wilson in a time of 1:58.27 to set a new Women’s Indoor American record. This win for Wilson is her fourth straight title in the event at the Millrose Games Wilson’s performance here shows a great outlook for the rest of the track season.
The other American Record was set by Gold Medalist Courtney Okolo who set the women’s indoor 500m record with a time of 1:07.34.
